A skeleton of a prehistoric dinosaur have been on sale at auction today. The Diplodocus skeleton believed to be
one of six almost complete skeletons in the world was sold for £400,000.
The Diplodocus dinosaur was 17m long (56ft) and was found in Wyoming in the USA in a quarry. It was reassembled in Rotterdam but taken and sold today in West Sussex.
The dinosaur, nicknamed Misty was likely snapped up for a museum or hotel/shopping centre in the far east. The Natural History Museum London did not bid as they have a cast of a diplodocus already on display.
