Enroll to Monsters University

The fact that this trailer was shown during The Hangover Part III, a 15 film, shows that the true target audience is for the Monsters Inc. fans. Many children who watched the film, when it was released in 2001 would now be of the age of going to university or at university. It is no doubt going to be a multi level film, with a perfect entertaining story for all ages, with the light hearted comedy for the children, but with some sneaky adult comedy and references.

Not long to wait now, opens in the UK on July 12th.

Coldest spring in 50 years

This spring is set to be the coldest in 50 years, the 5th coldest since records began back in 1910. The average temperature at current is only 6C from 1st March to 28th May, helped by an extremely cold March which saw temperatures colder than some of the winter months. This year the March average temperature was 2.2C which is 3.3C below the average March temperature. Even this month temperatures have been lower than usual with winds coming from a Northerly direction. This Northerly wind and Easterly winds seen through the rest of spring saw temperatures much lower than normal. It is also predicted that despite recent rainfall, this spring is still set to be drier than average, but not as dry as previous springs. 8 out of the past 10 springs have been warmer than average, so this is a rare event especially with how cold temperatures were.

The cold start to the growing season, has seen farmers and gardeners struggle to get things kicked off. With vegetation and crops taking a lot longer to develop and heavy snowfall saw a major loss to lambing stocks across the UK.

The British Tsunami

A few weeks ago I mentioned about Mega-Tsunamis and there was a TV show that looked at how an eruption of the Cumbria Vieja volcanic ridge on the island of La Palma will cause a huge mega-tsunami across the Atlantic. This eruption would cause very high waves to expand across the Atlantic, affecting other canary islands, the African coast, the Portuguese coast as well as the East coast of America. It also mentioned how here in the UK we could experience a tsunami from this eruption, though it would be somewhat smaller and affect the southern coasts. The likelihood of this happening however is generally small, though the Cumbre Vieja volcano is due an eruption and when it does blow it will pose a significant threat to the areas in the way of the waves and be a global catastrophe.

Tsunamis in Britain are uncommon as there are not many things around us to trigger one. We are away from any plate margins, meaning we are away from anywhere which will cause earthquakes. We are also of considerable distance from volcanic eruptions which could trigger a tsunami. However, there is a few other causes of tsunamis which have triggered waves that have hit the coasts of the British Isles in the past. A Meteotsunami is something we have experienced before, it is a tsunami-like wave of meteorological origin. However, these are generally smaller and are better described as a storm surge. They form from pressure differences due to air-pressure disturbances as storms and low pressures pass over. The height of these are generally only around 1m in height.

There have been numerous tsunamis recorded through the decades, in 1014, 1580, 1607 and 1858 there were reports of coastal flooding and some large waves, however, these cannot be confirmed and were not large in nature. In 1755 however, there was an earthquake in Lisbon which caused a tsunami which hit the coast of Cornwall with 3m high waves. They took 4 hours to reach the UK and there were reported to have been 3 waves. Though no official documentation of death there were reports of some along the Cornish coasts.

Japan Tsunami 2011

The largest Tsunami to hit Britain however, was much higher, reaching wave heights of 6m+. This was not in modern times, but evidence we can see today, by looking at sediment deposits and erosional platforms show that there had been a significant tsunami during the Mesolithic period 8000 years ago. It is thought that some of the waves washed over some of the Shetland Isles. Tsunamite, a deposit left by the waves in places is 0.6m thick and has been dated to around 6100BC. At the time the East coast of England was connected by a land bridge to Denmark and the Netherlands, so there is no evidence found here. However, the coast of this land bridge would have been inundated. This Tsunami was caused by an underwater landslide off the coast of Norway. This is an area which had seen large ice sheets removed after deglaciation over 1000years and may have made the sediments underwater become unstable due to the weight loss of ice. They are very uncommon but do underwater landslides pose more of a threat for the British Isles?

Find out more about the Scottish Tsunami tonight at 8pm on Channel 4.

Sebastian Ingrosso New song

This is the latest song from Sebastian Ingrosso and it is a real summer tune! Feat. Tommy Trash "Reload" is the new single ou at the end of June.
Last year "Calling" by Sebastian Ingrosso was my favourite song of 2012 and also Radio 1s Zane Lowes hottest record of the year.

This one isn't as good as calling but is still a really huge dance tune!
Take a listen :)

UK hit by one of the most powerful Earthquake in the last 200 years

Well the walls might not be crumbling down around you, or anywhere in the UK, despite one of the most powerful Earthquakes in the last 200 years occurring in the early hours. Most people wont have felt anything, but there are hundreds of people near the episode which say the experience shaking and rumbling.

Earthquake Seismogram of the quake, courtesy of BGS

So where was the epicentre? It was in NorthWest Wales centred on the Llyn peninsula in Gwynedd.
The British Geological Survey (BGS) said the centre point was between the seaside towns of Aberdaron and Nefyn. However, people as far as Merseyside, Dublin and the Isle of Man reported "intense shaking" at 4:16am this morning. There have been no reports of damage to buildings or injuries however. The size of the tremor is not unusual for the UK we have hundreds of minor earthquakes a month the most of which go unnoticed but every now and again we get slightly larger ones. This one was one of the most powerful in the last 200 years but we have had stronger earthquakes.

Robbie Williams on ChatRoulette

This is the latest single from Robbie Williams entitled Losers and here is the video!
The video however, was filmed whilst Robbie was on the controversial website "Chatroulette" and sang his song to random viewers across the world!
Its pretty hilarious! Good for publicity of his new single though!

Copahue volcano: Red Alert

Authorities in Chile and Argentina have issued a red alert for areas close to the Copahue volcano which means that the volcano is predicted to erupt imminently. Some 3000 people have been evacuated from the areas, which are in a danger area surronding the volcano.

Volcanologists have been studying the volcano and have seen numerours precursors to a large explosive eruption. The 2,965m (nearly 10,000ft) volcano has only given off gas so far, but thousands of minor earth tremors have been registered in the area showing fracturing rock as magma rises and pushes upwards. A red alert was also issued last year in this region after Copahue began spewing ash and gas high into the atmosphere.

The Copahue volcano is one of many volcanoes in this area, along the Andes mountains. It is one of the most active and man of these volcanoes can be very explosive and spew ou large quantities of ash and gas which have caused major problems for air travel in the Southern Hemisphere over recent years. This range of volcanoes comes from subduction of the Pacific Plate.

The Last Ever Shameless

Tonight is the last ever Shameless!!!

After 139 episodes the show will wrap up tonight on Channel 4 at 10pm for the final ever time. This show has been one of the most revolutionary and iconic British dramas, set on a typical council estate in Manchester, was one of the first shows that pushed the bar with its story lines and controversial issues. The show looked closely at crime and poverty along with other issues such as prostitution, homosexuality and racism. The show contained graphic violence, nudity, scenes of drug taking, sexual references, criminal activity and scenes of a sexual nature. Created and written by Paul Abbott, it was the show leading the way to a new edgier and daring TV programmes.

The way the show was created and the types of characters didn't provide a dark and serious drama but a lighter feel with added comedy. The show was shocking, disturbing yet hilarious and occasionally touching. The characters are well loved by fans and have seen them grow with some characters being on the show since they were children.

Many of the original characters have since left the show but there is confirmation that some characters will return for this final episode.

I can imagine the final episode will be great and it will be good to see how the Gallagher clan have gotten on in their lives. Though it will be interesting to see how the show ends and whether it will satisfy the fans or not.

Tonight at 10pm Channel 4! We will miss them!

A very swanky weekend!

Well it has been a loveeely bank holiday, hasn't it! I have had a pretty swanky weekend, instead of getting wasted on one of the wonderful nights out in my hometown.... I got wasted in the sunshine, betting on horses at the races!!! It was a lot different to a usual weekend and I got to experience my first races event! Horse races, that is, at Cartmel Races near the Lakes. It was a beautiful sunny day, a lot of skin burning, bbqs and alcohol, along with betting on horses to win? So I had no idea how to bet, what to bet or anything and didn't go toooo crazy betting but lets say I didn't come out rolling in cash! I won one of the 6 races though it didn't cover my losses haha! It was a good laugh though, along with a crazy Waltzer ride at the fairground, in which the two girls who I was with seem to almost loose there dresses!

The weekend also involved many laughs, artwork along the prom at Grange Over Sands and a bit of a snooze in a deck chair around the bandstand. With many drinks and lots of food it was definitely a good weekend!
Oh and I also saw Iron Man 3 which was good, though a little Christmassy!

I hope all your weekends were just as good! :)

Skrillex Vs. Knife Party Vs. Stylo G

So over the past few weeks I've been hearing a lot of Stylo G and his latest single Soundbwoy and it is a lot like Skrillex "Make It Bun Den" and even has a hint of Knife Party "Bonfire" in there. I would love to hear a mash up of all three, and I don't think it would be too hard to do either! Might give it a go somehow. Anyone as its Bank Holiday crack on these tunes during those sunny days outside drinking a few beverages or if you are getting ready for a big night out!

Skrillex - Make It Bun Den

Stylo G - SoundBwoy

Knife Party - Bonfire

Whatever any one would make a great GTA V soundtrack!

Another Dry and Bright Bank Holiday Weekend?!

Yes, you heard that?! Another bank holiday weekend which has pretty decent weather! Its not gonna be no heatwave, but for most people in the UK its going to be dry and sunny. There as an increased chance of rain into Bank Holiday Monday, but Saturday and Sunday look great with temperatures up to 17C. It'll be great weather for the hundreds of events taking place around the UK and will be great for gardeners, walkers, DIY and BBQs!

This will be the second bank holiday this month which has been good weather. A rarity in the UK! Though temperatures won't reach as high as the previous bank holiday.

The warmer weekend comes after a cool week, with temperatures below average. This spring in fact has been stated to be one of the coldest for over 30 years! 6th coldest since records began, with March being a very cold month, cooler than the three winter months before. All due to the position of the jet stream. During much of Spring it has been much further South than expected and currently a kink in the jet stream in bringing cool winds from the North! For the next few weeks the Jet stream seems to remain lower and no heatwaves!

LOST 3 Years on

Well today marks the day of the 3rd year anniversary to the ending of LOST, my favourite show ever. #WeHaveToGoBack

It was May 23rd 2010 when I sat there in my university room in the early hours to watch the world wide viewing. Seeing that screen go black for the last time and with such a beautiful ending, I was flooding tears haha

These are some videos I made back in the day, when youtube and twitter were just becoming popular and there was no advanced video editing software that we see today, so apologies for the dodgy editing :P
Enjoy #Losties

Here are some other LOST themed blogs I have done so far:

Batman: Arkham Origins Trailer

This trailer for the new Batman: Arkham Origins game which is scheduled for release on October 25th, looks out of this world! I'm not a hardcore fan of batman but enjoy the films and this game looks fantastic. The graphics in the clip below, though it does not show much in game footage, look amazing. It almost looks like you are playing a film. It will be similar to the previous game Batman Arkham City with returning characters. Even if you are not interested in the game then watch the short video its great!

Old Lady finds her trapped dog, live on the news after Oklahoma Tornado

A Live News interview ended in happiness after the reporter managed to spot a missing dog as she interviewed the lady at the site of her demolished house. The Old Lady and Dog survived with only minor injuries as her whole house collapsed around her as the Tornado roared above. The Tornado that hit close to Oklahoma City claimed over 90 lives many of them children. #PrayForOklahoma

Sony teases PS4 with video

Sony released a video this morning, teasing the PS4 showing a blurry image and certain parts of the PS4 game console. To see the full console, you have to wait till June 10th!

Huge Tornado rips through suburbs of Oklahoma City

A major disaster has been declared in the Oklahoma City after a large tornado has ripped through the suburbs of Oklahoma City, killing at least 91 people including 20 children. It is possible that the number of fatalities will also increase. The Hospitals in the area are said to have been treating a large amount of casualties from injuries created by the storm. There is still a large search and rescue operation underway.

200mph winds had flattened homes and schools in the Moore district, South of the City. It hit at 2.56pm and remained on the ground for around 45 minutes, a long period whilst children were at school. It is likely that this disaster is going to be one of the worst tornado disaster since 1900. 158 people were killed in Missouri on 22nd May 2011 almost 2 years to the day. Meteorologists said there was still a risk of tornados in the area. This is relatively early in the Tornado season but has been a major disaster. Some witnesses say that there were numerous tornados at the time.

Bad Monday? This will cheer you up...

Anyone got the Monday Blues?
Need cheering up?
Well this video might just do that

It comes from the Eurovision song contest at the weekend. This performance was actually not part of the contest but was the interval act performed to promote and tell stories about the host country, in this case Sweden. This year however, they decided to go for the comedy act and have made this amazing, bizzare but hilarious song and dance which was actually performed by the host herself!

Eurovision and GoApe

This weekend was an exciting one, not only did I have the delights of watching Eurovision.... I went to the Lakes to take part in the UKs highest high ropes course at GoApe Grizedale!

Now I'm back home after a busy day climbing and jumping from trees and after numerous train journeys I am completelyyyyyy exhausted also helped by a poor nights sleep dreaming of Eurovision.

But it was really fun. I watched Denmark win from a college campus bar back at Lancaster fiiiiilled with people and squished in a corner, drinking and cheering on our countries. We had picked out the countries from a hat, I had Iceland and Italy... wooo. Two male singers.... singing really slow power ballads.....dressed in suits....with no flashing lights.....no fireworks.... no excitement and oh yeh they sang in their own language. I had no chance of winning!!! And I was right, but I didn't do too bad, surprisingly Italy got quite a few points and an occasional 12!! But Iceland didn't do too well.

Go Ape was great though, I had done that course a few times but a few hadn't and it was funny to see how they got on. I tried to do the "No Hands" on the rope which was fun.... The whole apparatus was shaking and bouncing with my shaking legs! Its a really good thing to do and I would highly recommend it! One of my friends did end up getting stuck after a bit of a panic but was safely brought town. It was nice and dry too and was great to do with friends. Biggest regret was not wearing my monkey onesie! Next time maybe!

Anyways, a lot of sleep to catch up on along with a lot of TV like Doctor Who ahhhh

Billion year old water found in Canadian Mine

A group of scientists from the UK and Canada have discovered ancient pockets of water, which have been trapped underground for billions of years. The water could be some of the oldest on the planet and may even contain some sort of life forms. It is hoped too that there could be some comparisons with the possibility of water on Mars.

Researchers from the universities of Manchester, Lancaster, Toronto and McMaster analysed water that was pouring out of boreholes from a mine 2.4 kilometres in depth beneath Ontario, Canada.

The crystalline rocks in which the water reside are some of the oldest on the planet at around 2.7 billion years old. But it was only recently that the water was suspected to be of a similar age.

Ground-breaking techniques developed at the University of Manchester are being used by the researchers to show that the fluid is at least 1.5 billion years old!!!

Take This!

Mark Owen from Take That is releasing a new album this year and this is the first single from it and at first I didn't think it was that good, but after a few listens its pretty epic:

Cause we're just stars
Try'na get back where we're from
One by one, we're gonna leave this planet
So Don't look back
Cause you know that it's all just time
When you've got nothing on your mind
You've made it

Remember This....? The Snorks

Come along with the Snorks
Swim along with the Snorks

Anyone remember this little TV gem in the 80s-90s? It was basically an underwater Smurfs, both made by Hanna-Barbera though not as popular. It was on on the BBC in the late 90s though production of the show was only from 84-89. Its pretty much a precursor to SpongeBob.

Anyway here is an episode:

Once Upon a Time gets 3rd Series and Spin Off: Trailer

We might only be on episode 7 out of 22 in the UK on the second series but in America they have just finished Series 2 and announced the news that ABC had renewed Once Upon A Time for a Third Series!! Woohoo, great news. However, they also released the news that ABC had confirmed that they will be broadcasting a spin off stand-alone series named "Once Upon A Time In Wonderland!" Exciting eh? It just shows that this epic TV show is doing really well. Hopefully the series will be picked up by Channel 5 here in the UK!

The two shows have been stated to have two clear separate identities but will have numerous crossovers, one of which will be that the first episode begins in Storybrooke. The spin off is written by the same guys who do the main show, so expect no real change in storytelling. The producers are trying to keep with the same cast to continue with other roles which may be included, including the Mad Hatter, but a large new cast has been made for this, many of which are English Born Actors including Sophie Lowe and Michael Socha.

Here is the synopsis:

In Victorian England, the young and beautiful Alice (Sophie Lowe) tells a tale of a strange new land that exists on the other side of a rabbit hole.  An invisible cat, a hookah smoking caterpillar and playing cards that talk are just some of the fantastic things she’s seen during this impossible adventure.  Surely this troubled girl must be insane and her doctors aim to cure her with a treatment that will make her forget everything.  Alice seems ready to put it all behind her, especially the painful memory of the genie she fell in love with and lost forever — the handsome and mysterious Cyrus (Peter Gadiot).

But deep down Alice knows this world is real and just in the nick of time, the sardonic Knave of Hearts (Michael Socha) and the irrepressible White Rabbit (John Lithgow) arrive to save her from a doomed fate. Together, the trio will take a tumble down the rabbit hole to this Wonderland where nothing is impossible.

As I haven't seen the rest of series 2 yet, I'm not sure whether Wonderland plays a role within the rest of the series or not, but whatever this spin-off series looks amazing, almost like a film, it will definitely be a great stand alone show with some connections. Here is the trailer:

The show will begin broadcasting towards the end of the year.

Any sign of summer?

So we had a few brief days at the start of May when we had some summery weather with temperatures up into the high teens and low twenties for over a week in places. The hottest day of the year so far saw temperatures reach 23.3C on the 7th May but this week we have had some very different weather, with violent thundery downpours and today a deep low pressure has brought heavy rain and wind across southern parts of the UK. But as we are reaching the halfway point of May are we going to see any change?

Well the weather for the rest of May looks a bit bleak with temperatures lower than average. In places tonight as the low pressure moves northwards the temperature may be cold enough to produce some more wintry weather across the Pennines!

The position of the Jetstream is right across the UK at current which is lower than it should be which has seem to be the trend since the start of the year. In places we are experiencing more April weather, with heavy April like showers. This means that there are several low pressure systems piling in across the UK for the near future. High pressure is believed to begin to build towards the start of June, however it is forming over Scandinavia which at first means that winds will be coming from a cooler direction meaning that temperatures are expected lower than average. However, it also means dryer and brighter conditions.

The best situation for warm and dry weather is when high pressure builds across Continental Europe when winds are from a Southern direction. Normally when high pressure is in charge it stays around for sometimes 2 weeks!

So expect no signs of summer just yet! Expect wet and windy weather with blustery, stormy showers and possibly another batch of flood warnings.

Current position of the Jet Stream

The Next Chapter

At the start of the year and at the start of this blog, I posted about the next chapter of my life. Yes a blog all about me! I don't seem to do many haha

But I do blog when there is significant change in my life, and this is another point in my journey, this year. At the start of the year, I moved back to Lancaster, the place filled with memories as I had been studying there just the year before. It was expected to be strange, with many of my friends not being there, working instead of studying and living as a tenant in a room in a house. But it was absolutely fantastic, the whole experience was just great. I would never have had expected to be working at the place I studied and love. But it happened, and it was great!

The 4 month contract at the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology was a really good experience and improved many of my skills and I got a good idea of how research projects work within these large research centres. I met many amazing people and got an idea of how it is to take on a Phd. Being probably the youngest person there I was the least experienced and I was shocked to find that some of my colleagues had spent many years doing Phds and Postdocs when I felt they were more or less the same age as me! I got to do many interesting things, from spending days grinding soil, sieving soil, ovening soil .... to fieldwork. It was good to get an idea of the whole sampling, processing and analysing process and the fieldwork was great. Being put up in these nice big hotels and lodges and going out in huge crop fields taking soil cores and litter samples. I really enjoyed my time at CEH and it was a shame that the position was not longer, but now I have the experience needed to look more attractive to other employers and there are several positions I am currently applying for with which my experience has been key.

I still had some friends up there in Lancaster and it was good spending more time with them, with many funny nights out and social events! During this time I was living with in a really nice family in their spare room. They were really nice and almost like a foster family. I was so grateful for everything they did and thank them so much!! I definitely don't think I would have enjoyed my experience much if I'd have had a spare room in a different house.

So now I am back home, for now. With further job searching and awaiting a reply from others also. I am going to relax over the next week or so and have much planned for the weekends through until July! So I will be busy and have things to look forward to!

So it might be the next chapter, it might be the small interval between the next chapter.

Carbon Dioxide Levels pass symbollic mark

Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide levels, passed a symbolic mark over the last few days reaching more than 400 parts per million for the first time. The last time CO2 levels were above this level was 3-5 million years ago when the climate was considerably warmer than it is today. Scientists say the CO2 is one of the most important of the Greenhouse Gases and is closely linked with rising temperatures across the globe. The burning of fossil fuels is a major contribution to the CO2 levels at this time. The measurements have been taken since 1958 at the Mauna Lau Volcano in Hawaii and is expected that the levels will drop as the Northern Hemisphere goes into summer time and forests and vegetation pull out some of the CO2, however the long term trend is expected to continue to rise. The point reached doesn't give any significance to changes in the climatic system but it just shows a mark of rising CO2.

Bad Monday? This will cheer you up...

Star Wars Ep VII to be made in the UK

A few weeks ago I mentioned about Star Wars filming scenes in the Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye with its remote and other wordly mountainous areas and rock formations. But today it was announced that the whole film will be made in the UK!

Previous Star Wars films have been made in the UK, at Elstree, Shepperton and Leavesden studios but it is greatly tipped that filming will take place in the huge Pinetree studios. Its great news for the UK, for fans and our media industries. It is great to see that the UK is still bringing in the huge films.

The Twittersphere is a buzz with excitement over this with #britishstarwars trending. Here are some of my favourites:

Anakin had spent his childhood living as a slave, but social services visited 8 times and found no cause for concern.

I've done a H&S assessment on your death star Mr. Vader and you're going to have to install more wheelchair ramps."

'The Empire was granted planning permission for their Death Star, as long as they also built 50 affordable houses with it'.

"I'm afraid, my lord, the Death Star is not only behind schedule, it's also horribly over budget.

Next week on The Jeremy Kyle Show: My Father Cut My Hand Off

I really want to find out how to become an extra in these films!!! Help?

Remember this...? Fruit Winders

Somebody tell me if these are still available please!!!!!
I can taste them just thinking about them now! But I guess that maybe because I'm eating a fruit pastille, but they taste quite similar!

So these things for anyone who doesn't know are Fruit Winders! These things were amazing pack lunch items that sure were yummy. These were actually made by kelloggs!

Introduced across stores in the UK in the early 2000s. They were first called Real Fruit Winders, then Screamin Fruit Winders to be more appealing but were changed to Fruit Winders. Their three flavours were Strawberry, Blackcurrant and Apple with a few others introduced later.

Anyone remember the comics that were on the paper attached to the Fruit Winder, which showed a group of characters winding the fruit. The "fruit" layer was wrapped in this paper and rolled up and was a pretty lengthy thing for a little kid.

These things were great, I WANT ONE NOW!!!

An amazing cover: Only The Young

This fantastic foursome known as "Only The Young" are group of teenagers aged 16-19 and I've just come across their mashup cover of "Locked Out Of Heaven" and "Somebody that I used to Know" and its pretty epic. The harmonies when they are all singing sounds amazing. I cant really find much about them but they are on twitter so follow them! @OTYOfficial I think they've just been signed so you are likely to here more from them soon. Pretty good for a mixed group...

Charles Ramsey

Who is Charles Ramsey you ask? Well he's the guy who helped rescue Amanda Berry from one of his neighbours in Cleveland, USA, where she had been held captive for 10 years! Two other missing were also found in the house. The interview below is probably one of the best ever and is a must see! Its amazing that the three women have now been found and wish them the best in returning to normality after some horrifying experiences.

Here is Charles' interview:

As it is such an amazing interview it was a matter of time before youtubers schmoyoho gave it a bit of the autotune treatment like so many of the other interviews from Barrack Obama to the "Ain't Nobody Got Time for That" lady. Here is the epic "Dead Giveaway" for Charles Ramsey.

What The Girls Like

This song was from 2011 by JayKay feat. Flo Rida, Smokey and Git Fresh is called "What the girls like" and it does sound a litttttle similar to other songs out around the same time, but there is just something about it that I really like. I think the chorus is probably my favourite bit. It was a shame this song didn't do better it would have been a good club hit to listen to in my second year of university! Apologies if you don't like the charty stuff...

Dream Diary: Ape Wars

So I awoke this morning after a very deep sleep and numerous dreams. It felt as if I was part of Inception with the dreams within a dream as it was such a deep deep sleep.
There was many parts to this dream or dreams:

At one point I was sitting on a tiny speed boat reporting for Sports News, microphone held in hand. With the waves splashing against the boat as it sped out towards open sea, with mountainous terrain surrounding. There was a slightly larger boat to the right following with a further camera crew. I was not alone in this boat there was another man, in full wetsuit attire and though he was at the front of the small speed boat he was somehow driving. There was no camera crew on this boat but a small squishy black dot on the back of the mans head was what I was speaking to and I presume was the camera, somehow. I was sitting behind reporting this mans progress. At one point I may have stood but felt like I was to fall so sat back down. The boat stopped and the man took off the black dot handed it to me and dived into the water. The boat rocked so much I also fell in and managed to reach the surface I then began to look towards where the man had dived down and held the squishy black dot in that direction so that the "camera could see." He surfaced and we both got back in the boat. It seems he was part of a competition and this part of it was to drive out to sea, dive in, swim down and collect some sort of token....

APE WARS
The next part of my dream, the bit I remember the most, the bit being closest to me waking up was awesome! It was as if I was playing a game a cross between GTA, Call of Duty, FarCry 3 sort of game. But I was actually there:

I was on some sort of small island, I guess meant to be the level of the game I was on or the "map." There was a lot of buildings and many of them were half destroyed or in flames. They sky was dark with a bluer tinge towards the horizon. The wind was strong and smoke and flames soared above the island. There was sounds of battle and explosions and in the far off distance you could see mainland in a similar situation. It was some sort of army barracks on this island and the section I was in, I believe was part of the offices next to the airport. I was with my brother and a friend and our initial thoughts was to get off the island and hide. We were in these offices, lights out and with little damage. The large windows on both sides showed the devastation that surrounded. We hid beneath desks and looked out the window to see these large "beasts" some in suits others covered in hair or fur. They were tall and looked a little bit like a Wookie or apes. They stood upright and they were searching the grounds and vehicles outside. There was explosions in the distance and fights on the runway. Small helicopters flew around above with large beams of light to help in the search. There was also these small white one man hover board sort of things. They stood upright and could fly around in them they had bright beams too. On occasions these bright beams shone in the office and we had to make sure we were hidden. There was so many. We felt it was time to leave and try and escape.

We made our way to the main building and the door of the office. I noticed that there was some army SUVs and other vehicles about outside and big battle beginning between the humans and these apes. I reached for the office door to enter the stairwell. As soon as I walked in a large Ape had appeared, I threw a good punch towards his head before he managed to reach his weapon and then my brother and friend jumped on him and knocked him out. We ran down the stairs as another few apes opened another door. We blocked the door as we left to enter some sort of hanger. This room was massive but was full of debris and fire I could see piles of rubble and Army personnel using torches to locate survivors I could guess. I looked round and further army vehicles and soldiers were passing so I knew we were away from any apes. As a large battle began to intensify we ran out. I think I lost the others and entered the area beneath the offices. Some Apes began to smash through the windows and the soldiers began to realise they had been compromised. I ran towards some vehicles and got in a large wagon. (After numerous attempts of trying to press the right button to enter, even though I was in the game)

I thought that I would take a look round the rest of the "map" island and see if there any ways of escape. I left the battle and airfield and drove down roads in the opposite direction to the other vehicles and soldiers. It was a lot quitter on this side of the island. Buildings looked old and dirty some had been further destroyed and the land looked a little more charred. A connection to the mainland could be seen behind but I decided to continue round to find another. The roads were empty and narrow. I  decided to follow the coast and drove past what seemed to be the only part of the island not built on. A few trees and a grass slope down to the sandy beach. I continued driving when I saw some apes drop from the trees. I looked behind and there were apes following. One large ape which looked like big foot was running very fast and was catching up to my slow vehicle. I looked up towards the hill and realised that I was on the wrong side of the island as there was many apes running down the hill towards me shooting at the truck.

The larger ape had managed to reach onto the back of the truck along with others. I swung it round but this had slowed me down by this point the others were almost upon me. I jumped out as it was still moving and saw it pile into some out buildings and explode, the apes continued to run. They were wearing little white suits above their brown fur. they shot towards me with blue lasery light. I thought that my only option was to run out to sea. I began to swim and noticed that there were many following but could go no further and turned back. I was underwater but had to resurface to breath and as I did I noticed that there were at least twenty apes in full suits gun in hand across its chest with breathing apparatus on. These apes were goddamn prepped! Their faces shone in the small lights in their helmets. I swam further and underwater I saw them just walking into the water and beneath the waves.

Then I Woke.

Exciting eh?
