UK hit by one of the most powerful Earthquake in the last 200 years

Well the walls might not be crumbling down around you, or anywhere in the UK, despite one of the most powerful Earthquakes in the last 200 years occurring in the early hours. Most people wont have felt anything, but there are hundreds of people near the episode which say the experience shaking and rumbling.

So where was the epicentre? It was in NorthWest Wales centred on the Llyn peninsula in Gwynedd.
The British Geological Survey (BGS) said the centre point was between the seaside towns of Aberdaron and Nefyn. However, people as far as Merseyside, Dublin and the Isle of Man reported "intense shaking" at 4:16am this morning. There have been no reports of damage to buildings or injuries however. The size of the tremor is not unusual for the UK we have hundreds of minor earthquakes a month the most of which go unnoticed but every now and again we get slightly larger ones. This one was one of the most powerful in the last 200 years but we have had stronger earthquakes.
