Twister hits Italian Villages

A tornado has torn through villages and farmlands in Northern Italy. Video footage from across the area shows the scale of devastation and the size of the tornado, something you'd expect to see across America's Tornado Alley. There was no deaths during the destruction but around 12 were injured and the destruction left in the wake of the tornado was considerable, with buildings destroyed, cars overturned and cropland torn up. Strong winds and hail were also reported making driving conditions dangerous. The tornado formed near Bologna and lasted for a few minutes. The freak storm follows a few days of hot, humid and stormy conditions.
