Autumn Storms on their way

This weekend Britain is facing a battering as the another big storm rolls in from the Atlantic. We are set to be ravaged by two low pressure systems moving across from Saturday with conditions worsening on Monday. The deepening area of low pressure is set to bring storm force wind and heavy rain with the Met Office already giving an early Amber Weather Warning for parts of England as the storm moves in.

Successions of heavy rain fronts have been plaguing the weather over the past week, but it is expected that these weekends weather will be even worse! With the jet stream pushing southwards and at a time when it is strong, it is going to draw in some moist warm air which will rapidly deepen an area of low pressure moving in from the south east. There is still some uncertainty at present but at its worst the storm could bring winds of 60mph and gusts of up to 80mph along with heavy rain. With leaves and branches being blown from the trees and blocking drains floods are very likey. The track sets to be straight across England and Wales with Scotland and N. Ireland.
