Warmer Weather Is on the way!

The Big Thaw

Hooray, Hooray,
Spring is on its way!

Yes you heard it right folks its going to be getting warmer throughout the weekend. In some places we may even reach double figure temperatures!

However, I am not promising any swealtering heatwaves or anything its just going to get gradually warmer as we enter the weekend as finally the High pressure over the UK moves away, winds come from a Southerly direction and the jet stream curves back into its usual place.
Temperatures are to rise this weekend but are still to be a little lower than average. Low pressure systems will begin to move in  which does however mean rain!! But also means warmer winds. Hopefully it will kick start the spring period and be the start of warmer temperatures to follow. However we can't rule out that colder temperatures will not follow. There maybe times when a cold arctic blast may follow but nothing likely than what we have seen through March which was colder  than the other winter months.

Below image shows the jet stream fluctuating from its current position in the med to a more expected position across the UK.

The Jet stream has been stuck throughout March across the mediterranean meaning that much of Europe has been significantly colder than usual and areas of the Med much wetter. Spain seeing its wettest start to the year in over 60 years with many areas flooding.
The UK has also seen a significantly dry start to the year.
