Weekend Weather: Windy, Warmer & Wetter

Finally after a brief period of cooler Easterly winds, once again, we are to get a blast of tropical air and winds from the South! Finally, the Jet Stream has returned to a more normal position and is pushing low pressure systems further north across the UK. Low Pressure, however, means wet weather too! But its not all bad, places across the UK will be glad to see some rain! Gardner's and farmers are really needing wetter weather after a very very dry start to the year. A Low Pressure system will rush across the UK from tonight into tomorrow with heavy rain and showers throughout the day. But winds will come from the south, drawing up warmer air and recovering temperatures.

Over the weekend temperatures will be around 13C across many parts, in those that see some sunshine should see temperatures rise up to 18C! Best locations for sunshine are in the East and South.

There will also be strong winds across the UK, reaching gale force in places however, the wind will feel pleasant as it is coming from the South and not the chilly East!

The Jet stream seems to stay in this position into next week and we will likely see numerous low pressure systems which means rain and wind across the UK at times, separated by warm and dry weather intervals. Best areas, as usual, in the South East!
