The next actor or actress(?) to play the new Doctor Who will be revealed this weekend, on Saturday 4th August. It was June when Matt Smith revealed he will be leaving his role as the Doctor at the end of this year. The show is to be scheduled this Sunday at 7pm on BBC1 in a special live half hour show. The show will have special guests including Doctors of Past and Present along with the writers of the show.
Exciting news, but its a shame that it isn't going to be revealed until the final episode as in previous re-incarnations.
It was recently revealed that the special 50th Anniversary episode will be shown around the world at the same time in a simulcast!
