Peter Capaldi the new Doctor

Doctor Who?????

Yesterday the BBC revealed to the world live on the BBC the new actor to play the 12th doctor!
And whoooo was it? :

Peter Capaldi

Well known for acting in things such as 'The Thick of it', and 'Skins'... along with recent blockbuster hit 'World War Z!' He is also the first actor who has an Oscar under his belt.

Peter who has previously been on the show, playing Roman merchant Caecilius in 2008 Doctor Who adventure The Fires of Pompeii.

He is 55 years old the same age as the original doctor on the show when it first began. He follows Matt Smith who played the doctor.

The casting of Capaldi is a big nod to the past and the show going to original roots, as the show celebrates its 50th anniversary.

So what do you think of the new doctor?
I think he will be great, bringing a whole new perspective to the show. He is likely to bring more humour and possibly a more fatherly figure to his companions. There will likely be little romance between any younger companions and the fact that he is a lot older than previous doctors, may be disappointing for younger viewers but it will be exciting to see what he brings to the show and what is one of the most prized roles.

MIND BLOWN
In World War Z Capaldi played a doctor at the World Health Organisation.

It was his destiny!
