Quake: M8.0 Solomon Islands

A small Tsunami was triggered in the early hours of the morning after an 8.0 Magnitude Earthquake hit close to the Solomon Islands. Reports of a 1.5m wave has damaged property. It was reported that 4 people had been killed, likely from the earthquake and not the resulting tsunami. Various warnings for Tsunami were announced across the Pacific but were cancelled when no threat was seen. USGS stated that the 8M earthquake was 28.7km in depth.
 
It was reported there was no panic during evacuation and that many reached high ground safely, even when there was little height of the tsunami.
