So whilst at home this weekend I walked past the nearby duck pond. To my delight my good old friend Afro Duck was still swimming about! He has been around for such a long time now and it is pretty easy to spot, as he is the one with the huge afro!
On first sight it looks like someone has glued a blob of cotton wool on its head! But its actually not that rare that there is a duck with an afro! Its actually a breed of duck known as a "Crested Duck" and the Crest is a deformity in the skull linked to lethal conditions during incubation.
So if you want to see this marvellous duck king of the pond there is one near my house!
